The annual Founder’s Day at Put-in-Bay will be held in the center of the village DeRivera Park on Sunday, June 17 from 11 am-5 pm. This free, family-focused island event, hosted by the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce, celebrates the founding of Put-in-Bay by Hispanic merchant Jose DeRivera. The celebration will begin with a warm up on Saturday evening with fireworks at dusk. On Sunday, Founder’s Day will feature entertainment by the Rent Party Band playing popular tunes in a fair-type atmosphere.
